Senior Food Technologist

  • Product/Process Development (approximately 80% of role)

    • Emphasis will be on product formulation of new food products. Characteristics of importance:

      • Hands-on experience & strong interest in the actual development of products essential – from concept development to final product

      • Ability to define important key development issues & to execute rapid prototyping

      • A self-starter wanting to work in a fast moving entrepreneurial environment

      • Must be a team player

    • Interest in helping to define & develop new & exciting products

    • Experience in working with production on the implementation of newly developed products

  • Project Management (approximately 20% of role)

    • Experience in R & D project management essential, so as to assure product development’s timely progress, including:

      • Rapidly resolving “roadblocks” in product development & assisting in new product launches

      • Confirming that labeling conforms to FDA/USDA standards

      • Providing or determining regulatory expertise inputs for new product

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or Food Science.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in new food product developments & the successful industrialization of such new food products.
