DIY Califia Table Lamp

Our unique 48-ounce Almondmilk and Cold Brew bottles were designed with innovation in mind. Sure, they’re 100 percent recyclable (a.k.a. good for the planet), but why toss the bottle when the goodness is gone? We’ll show you how to make your bottle a keeper.

In six simple steps, we’re turning an empty bottle into a lamp that will look right at home on your side table. So grab your goods and follow along as we break it all down below.

Materials

  • Empty 48 oz. Califia Bottle
  • Drill
  • Wrench
  • Old lamp
  • Light bulb

Step 1: Remove the label from your Califia bottle and drill a hole big enough to fit your electrical wiring components pipe through the lid.

Step 2: Run electrical wiring components pipe through the hole. Use the wrench to tighten the washer and nut into the bottom of the lid, tightening the socket to the top of the lid.

Step 3: Drill a hole in the side of the bottle, toward the bottom, big enough to run the electrical cord through.

Step 4: Run the electrical cord through the bottom hole and up through the electrical wiring components pipe and through the top hole. Connect the cord to the socket.

Step 5: Unscrew the lid to the bottle, pull out the pipe and fill the bottle with your desired decorative pieces. Don’t want to fill the bottle? That’s cool, too. Spray paint it for an extra dramatic effect.

Step 6: Stick the pipe back into the filled bottle. Screw on the lid and add a light bulb. Throw on the shade, pull the string and light up the room.
